Hello, New York

Before starting a hectic week of job interviews, I was able to situate myself in the City and appreciate the beauty that is

characteristic of the Big Apple. But first, I always like to remember where I am coming from - below is a shot I snapped

while driving to the airport...

Dawn, driving down the mountain.

I've been dreaming about going to Mamoun's since the last time I lived in the City! They have the best falafel and

hummus sandwich - for only $3.50! I also tried the mango juice, which was ridiculously refreshing. My favorite location is

in the Village, but if that's not your scene, you can check out their other locations here.

I love the City because of places like DF Mavens - a dairy and gluten-free frozen dessert shop. For allergenic people like

me, it's often difficult to find high-quality substitutes for yummy desserts like ice cream! So when I passed it after my

dinner, I had to stop by and give it a try. I chose the Key-Lime Pie flavor, made with almond milk!

Yet again, my favorite location is in the Village, but there are options all over the City (listed here).

A walk in the City never disappoints.
